Danish ceramic ashtray with wooden pipe rest

A vintage Danish ceramic ashtray marked “EKEBY,” featuring a distinctive mid-century design with a central wooden pipe holder. The square base has softly rounded corners and a hand-glazed finish in earthy tones of cream and warm brown, complemented by subtle green accents in the corners.

The integrated wooden element is shaped to hold a pipe securely, making this a functional piece for pipe smokers as well as a decorative object. The combination of ceramic and wood gives it a warm, Scandinavian modern aesthetic typical of mid-20th century design.

The underside bears the EKEBY mark along with a model number, indicating production by the well-known Swedish/Danish ceramics tradition associated with Ekeby pottery.

Condition appears good with normal age-related wear, including minor glaze variations and light surface marks.
