Our Story

We are Hangaard Horizons, a Danish-owned company driven by a shared passion for antiques and art. Founded by Thomas Hangaard, who holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Global Business Studies, which makes him cabable to create value and importance of the items we preserve, protect and sell. The company reflects his decision to dedicate his career to what he truly loves—discovering and preserving beautiful, timeless objects.

Together with Veronika and Christina, who each contribute within marketing, web design, and communication, we work as a close team united by our love for old, beautiful artefacts. We find and carefully curate each piece—giving it new life before it continues its journey in a new home.

Our shared passion is rooted in our backgrounds. Christina recalls her first visit to Portobello Road Market at the age of 10, when she explored the market with her parents. Having grown up in a home filled with paintings by renowned artists and a wide range of antiques, her life has always been shaped by a deep appreciation for art and beautiful, rare objects.

Veronika, originally from Latvia, brings a strong visual and creative perspective to the team. With a background in design and communication, she has developed a keen eye for aesthetics and detail. Her passion for art and antiques is reflected in her ability to recognise the beauty and potential in each piece, helping to shape how it is presented and shared.
