Beautiful small Russian Orthodox diptych icon housed in a protective blue case. The interior features two detailed metal icons with colored accents: the Virgin Mary with Child on one side and Christ Pantocrator on the other.

The icons are crafted in relief with silver-toned metal and gilt halos, typical of modern Orthodox devotional pieces. The outer case is decorated with an embossed cross, and the set closes securely, making it ideal as a travel or pocket icon.

Likely produced in Russia in the late 20th century.
